Based on true Mexican family stories and Mexican legends, Dia de los Muertos and Other Folktales is a series of tales told with various theatrical devices: story theatre, movement, music, shadow, and puppetry.

A company of 10 actors play multiple roles. Josie, our narrator tells the story of her grandmother's immigration journey from Mexico to the U.S. and the ensemble of actors bring the family folktales to life. The play explores what it means to leave one land in search of another, and the value in maintaining ties to our past.

Doors open 30 minutes prior the show time (1:30pm for 2:00pm matinees, 7:00pm for 7:30pm evening shows). The run time is approximately 85 minutes with no intermission.

Wheelchair and companion seating noted on floor plan, audio assistance available as well.
